The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization concerned solely with funding research towards cures for blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Since it’s founding in 1949, the Society has provided more than $680 million to research specifically targeting blood cancers. As responsible stewards of their donor’s trust, LLS continues to be among the most effective and efficient voluntary health agencies, with nearly 75 cents of every dollar spent devoted to their mission. Research funded by the Society has led to incredible results; overall survival rates for leukemia have tripled in the last 40 years. Cures and treatment options that are available now were not available 10-years ago. pe your paragraph here.
